Iphone 3G in Mini Cooper S Convertible 2005
Does anyone knows if there is any Iphone 3G adapter for a 2005 Mini S? I have not been able to find any and want to give it to my wife for her birthday. Currently we have a built-in adapter for a nano but does not work very well.
Thanks,
Felipe

That works with everything except the new iPhone 4. It connects in the boot using the CD Changer input, and can be controlled by the car or the phone. It also has an Aux connection that is guaranteed(not any form of guarantee by the manu. Just a 3.5mm port and there is absolutely no way that wouldn't work to work) with any mp3 player.

+1 on the Dice.
I have one for my 3G in my 05 MCS and it works quite well. If your 05 was built after a certain date, it will show the track information in the radio display (as long as it's iTunes). I use mine for Pandora all the time (which won't show the track info).
They have 2 versions (or kits maybe?). One connects in the trunk to the CD changer input, the other connects in the back of the radio. I have the trunk one and wish I had purchased the other. They work the same but running the wires from the back to the front was a pain.
If you don't have a mount for the iPhone, the CravenSpeed one is nice and works pretty well (although a bit expensive).

Your factory iPod adapter should "work" with the iPhone 3G, but it will not charge it and you'll get a warning to that effect when you plug it in.
I got the Scosche "Passport" adapter (~$25) that goes between the iPhone and the factory iPod plug, and it both allows the head unit to control the iPhone and charges the phone as well.
