Ok, so the MINI ads say "...shiney mamma mud flap it, union jack it, dancing hula girl it, etc. etc. So has anyone added fun flair to their MINI? I finally added my quirky details. I have added: leapord printed fuzzy dice, a nodding head chihuahua, a Union Jack lunchbox, a red devil ducky keychain and a red swirled CD case. My boyfriend thought it would look junky and then he saw it and just said "SWEEEET!" Anyone else having fun with the details?!

I LOVE THAT CHIHUAHUA!

I haven't put in anything too quirky.....aside from my blue stuffed kitten (my copilot when noone else is in the Mini with me).....and my vanity euro plate on the front.....
I've changed a couple other little things, too like my side markers and antenna.....saving up for mods next year!

Would like to see others costume goodies, stuff and junk. Would really like to see any roof changes or graffics to inspire me. I almost went with purple and yellow random polka dots all over the roof of my red and white S. Decided to go with a more tame look with 2&1/2" black dots around top edge.I have a 20" tall toy cosmic alien named Buster [same name as my car, short for gutbuster-harsh ride]He rides quite well, in the middle of the back seat. He's a prototype I created as I do toy inventing as a hobby.More Mini owners should loosen up and have fun giving there Mini's a few personal touches.

I have the 'standard issue' disco ball that i've had in my previous 2 cars - 2 jettas.

it's the size of a christmas ornament and has served me well over the years.

I am changing out the side marker lights as well - gotta go clear and the antenna is on order.

Here is the lunchbox I found. There is really nowhere to put it so I have it sitting in the backseat. I figured since everyone looks in my car anyway, I might as well add something fun to look at! lol! I also put in the passenger back window one of the MINI motoring signs that came with my motoring kit. I think it's a funny surprise for those folks staring at my car while I'm zipping down the road to see a "Hey Sexy!" sign. lol! Finally...I am proudly displaying my dashboard plaque from the British Car show in my drivers side rear window. Just another pretty Union Jack to display!

I have 2 NekoBuses, one stuffed off of the rear view mirror and a smaller keychain sized one hanging off of the guard between the two missing toggle switches, a small cell-phone mascot sized Domo-Kun hanging off of my CD holder on my visor, and protecting me from evil, I have a Master Shake air freshner... I want to get a hula girl and an antenna surfer for winter, but alas, the wife won't let me...

That Master Shake thing is totally weird (LOVE IT!!!) and my kids would never get out of the car if I too had NekoBuses in my MINI. This is truly inspiring.

Also, LMini, you've probably posted this elsewhere, but can you point me to a pic of the antenna and side marker mods you've done? Thanks!

Ok....that's my Mini. Note: That is not me standing next to it because I am not a guy (that is a fellow Miniac).

The antenna, which is hard to see, is a super short silver one.....I did the side markers in clear.

L.Mini, thanks! The white lights look sharp on silver. Does the antenna work just as well as the longer factory-installed one?

(and, you didn't let that guy get in your car with a cigarette, did you )

OH! HAHAHA! He wasn't smoking but it sure looks like he was! I think that is just something in the trees behind his hand!

The radio reception was only slightly compromised with the shorter antenna.....not nearly as much as I thought it would be. I listen to CDs alot though so it doesn't bother me in the least.

I did place the UJ ontop of the car/sunroof (LINK to picture) I am also thinking of adding a "Dive Naked" to the back of the MINI. It is a scuba thing plus I am sick and twisted, I am on this page so what else would be expected.

Hey! That Union Jack looks absolutely fantastic! I had no idea that it was possible to put something on the roof with the sunroof on there!

I should HOPE you're not a guy, judging by your picture you post every ad, lol. I'd be afraid then.

My wife Chris has transferred the three small beanie baby cats that live in all our new vehicles, and has made a beautiful car-quilt/blanket, in BRG and Cordova colors. Helps keep one warm, or spread it out for a picnic. We'll add more as time goes by.

I hung a Beatles Yellow submarine from the rear view. Bought a black Bowler hat from e-bay to leave on the passengers seat for all those covert lookers and stuffed a hedge-hog in one of the rear pockets. Plus I'm drinking a lot more
tea. Hope to recover soon. TTFN

Well, since I have a classy little Pure Silver/Pure Silver, but think of her as my little hotrod, I've hung fuzzy red dice from the rearview mirror! I have an authentic English personalized plate ("MINI CLO&quot which I'll install in front as soon as I get my permanent plates from the Cali DMV, also personalized ("MINI CLO&quot. I'm debating installing roof graphics...perhaps will add some sort of metallic Union Jack, but I'm liking the polka dot idea A LOT! People familiar with my art know I'm a dot freak, so I may consider that idea, too!

Cheers!

hey clover,
i also live in cali and have a couple of questions about your license plate.
1. where did you get your authentic british plate?
2. i know the law regarding front plates (have been cited in the past for not having one), the question is, is it legal to have that euro plate on the front of the car? Or are you just risking a ticket?Ok that was actually 3 questions. sorry...

thanks,
skrutzen

Hi skrutzen! Welcome to MCO! Actually, I met a nice Englishman on another MINI site who offered to make me a plate. I, in turn, sent him a large envelope stuffed with MINIUSA brochures & "CA" & "USA" stickers that I collected at my MINI dealership in Long Beach. I'm going to take that chance on the front plate...I'll have the "legal" one, in case I get a fix-it ticket or whatever they do these days. When you were cited, did you have to pay a big fine or what? TIA.

Cheers!
Clover
