Sacrilege! Looking for a detailer near Boulder...
I know, I know....if I *really* loved my baby, I'd detail her myself.
That said, I am a full-time working mother whose other passions including scratch (and I do mean scratch) cooking, vegetable gardening, baking, mountain biking and photography. That leaves little time for doing my own detailing.
While I can do simple maintenance at home (wash, hydro...), I really do need to find someone in the boulder area who can take care of the twice annual Deep Clean. In particular, I am looking for someone who can find a way to clean out the TiO2-based sunscreen from parts of my black leather...
I'd prefer someone in the boulder area so I can leave the car for the day and still walk/ride/bus to work. Suggestions?

MINIMB - We just brought on a top-notch detailer out of Boulder to help write some articles, so I stand by him and his work. His name is Brenden McDonald. E-mail him at mcdbrendan@gmail.com. He uses Prima and other products and has quite a portfolio of previous cars detailed.
I'd love to help you out MB! I live in Boulder and can come to you as a mobile detail or you can come to my warehouse in Broomfield. I PMed you my contact info.
Thanks for the plug Richard, have a great time at MITM.

I second that suggestion!
Brendan is very knowledgeable and his attention to detail is impeccable.
As for your leather stain, just a heads-up that it will likely be trial and error. Even the very best detailers are limited by the chemical compatibility between your stain and the cleaner. Leather is sensitive so it can be difficult to find something strong enough to clean yet is also not damaging to your leather.
Either way, Brendan is the one! Your paint, especially, will appreciate it.

Thanks for the recommendation Heather, it's great to hear from you. Received your PM, reply on its way.
Like Heather said, sunscreen spots are particularly tough, but I have had luck with Leather Masters deep cleaner and warming the leather before cleaning. Either way, it really is trial and error, but I'm always willing to give it a try. MiniMB your PM reply is on its way also.

Nothing formal, just something I like to do to cars that I like! The old min-van? Lucky if it got spot-cleaned once a year....
In my mind the deep clean includes exterior wash and wax, tire/wheel cleaning, interior clean including carpets, mats, vinyl, leather clean and condition. Personally, I think all of this should be done once in early fall to prep it for a winter of snowy motoring, and once in late spring to help it recover from a winter of snowy motoring!
I'll keep her fairly clean myself in between the spa treatments!
My husband and I both have fairly new-to-brand-new cars that we both love....and we'd like to keep them in love-able condition!
