Are you talking about making the stainless steel show? If you are, then you are going to have to have the Powdercoating removed. It will involve some chemicals. I've never removed any Powdercoating from any of my items. I just took them down to the Powdercoating place to have it removed.

Probably just use some aircraft paint stripper and polish like youd usually polish.

I agree that aircraft paint stripper is probably going to be needed. Powder coat is tough stuff!

We've used media blasting before to take it off. I would expect some sort of stripper(chemical not blonde) would work as well. PM me with your contact info and I can see what more info I can get ya

thanks guys.
i just want the tips to shine up, the rest of the blacked out system is fine.

ill try masking the rest off and stripping the tips, well see how that goes.

instead of masking with tape, you could always use some thick clamps or something (maybe over tape) since the stripper would gunk up the tape too

Mine are "kinda" black more like a dirty grey...I'm going the other way...what would be good to restore them back to original?

i did that, i sprayed them with black high heat paint, i figured it would be too much hassle to mess with removing all that, since it looks to be pretty thick
