Intake Air Temperature (IAT) high or normal / Post Your IAT's

I finally got around to buying a Scangauge 2 and was curious as to whether my IAT's are reasonable or high. During normal highway cruising, I am 10-20F above ambient, which I believe is normal.

Today, after about 15 minutes of highway driving in 85F weather (100F IAT), I did a quick sprint through 3rd and 4th and the temp got up to 163F. Is this normal for an r53 with the usual bolt-ons (15%/i/e/ecu)?

I run between 9 and 11 above ambient on the highway, even with the A/C on. It does get hotter in traffic but cools right down once I am moving.
I have the normal Mods, 15% pulley/ CAI / M7 Air diverter and an M7 Extreme hood scoup

I'm also around 10 degrees higher when on the highway. I haven't noticed it to spike quite as high with a quick run through the gears though. I normally have to be sitting in traffic to have 150F+ IAT's.

Increased air flow means increase in air friction and higher AIT's. What you are seeing is normal PK.

I usually see 15-20 over ambient temps cruising, and when pressing on the right pedal as high as 120+. And if parked for a few minutes then drive off, even higher.

I wish Alta or DDM made an air diverter cover for the GP Intercooler It would be an awesome match with a larger scoop like M7's......

The refresh default is rather slow on the scangauge. I think you just saw a snapshot of the highpoint, but it probably dropped quickly. You can change the speed which will make it move a lot faster.

I can't say much more than 15 to 20 is about normal for me until I am cruising for longer than 15 mins, then it is closer to 10 over. Almost 80F higher than ambient seems too high to me even for a short womp on the pedal, but then again, I just don't know.

Some days this summer when it was about 100* outside, and parked for sometime, I had temps up to 120* + IAT's. But recovery was quick.
