long trip tomorrow, oil change??

My 2010 Mini S is at 11000 miles and hasnt had an oil change yet, no light indicating nothing, kind of irritates me and I should probably buy my own eventually. BUT will it be okay to commute 300 miles highway two legs?

Yes it will be fine. Change it when you get back.

I would do it now. With known issues with oil and build-up in the R56, and the relatively low cost of a change, just do it.

Mine didn't ask for service till 18K. Sorry, not happening. I changed it at 11+K and sent some to Blackstone. Along with the clogged oil filter, the oil was turning ino sandpaper. Pleny of TBN left but in the extreme early stages of abrasive, probably because of the filter. I know that won't happen every time and the oil mongers will throw bremstone for even suggesting that filters aren't made for that sort of milage, but just something to think about.

As for your question, change it and enjoy the trip.

300 miles is no biggie. Don't sweat it. But if it were me, I'd take the next earliest opportunity to change the oil, either before or after the trip. 300 is a drop in the bucket, so to speak, so don't let that worry you by itself.

I'm with Helix, I'd do it before I left.....it only takes about 1/2 hour to DIY. But don't take it to one of those fast oil change places!

I wouldn't worry about doing it. Just check that your oil is not low.

I change my oil every 10K regardless of what the ECU says. The important thing is to make sure you check your levels between oil changes, as some have ignored this and ruined their engines.
