What do you guys think of this Carbon Scoop?
I have been looking around and this is by far the best price I have found for a complete carbon fiber scoop replacement. I looked at the reviews and another mini owner rated this scoop as excellent.

I noticed the plastic bit as well. I wonder if it would still work ok. The carbon fiber in this image also appears to be very light in color. It may just be the lighting though...

Most CF items like this are skinned with CF, rather than made completely of CF. There's no structural element to scoops, spoilers, handles, gascaps, etc., so no need to have them made out of CF.
That said, this scoop is missing the 4 bolt posts needed to attach it to an R53 bonnet--so I don't know how that would be accomplished. Worth asking about, though.

No difference, but again, I'd check on the mounting bolts that should be moulded into the scoop. If not, you're going to have to figure out some method to affix it to the bonnet. And that ain't easy since the bonnet flexes a lot, and the scoop doesn't, so gluing is not an option unless you use epoxy...and then your scoop becomes an integral part of the bonnet. Could be worse, I guess.
