If everyone drove minis, think how many more you could fit in here!!

Great idea, a little too complicated IMO, reminds me of a bowling alley and how they have to send someone to fix them all the time... I can see it now..
Can you imagine just how many more minis would fit, they could make the spots smaller.

Parking deck
Touche...
Okay, since the parking deck is in Budapest, let them have 'em.

It's sad that we don't have that Technology, think about it, a Safe Place to Park, more Open Spaces for Parks and what not.
Here in the PNW our Parking Garages are in decrepit old obuildings, with Pillars at every angle, making it very nerve racking when trying to park larger vehicles.
Molly will never see the inside of one of the places.
I'd park her in Budapest any Day!!

Ya on average there would be about twice as many cars on the road if they were all MINIs. Holy crap on that garage too. We can only wish for something like this in the U.S. Too many people here are impatient as hell and this would not work and it would be to expensive.

It did not look to me like a long drawn out process to park a vehicle. Most people waste alot of time in parking garages looking for a spot going from level to level (that takes time) and as far as expense... well here your car is safe from the dings and dents incurred by those drivers who cannot park properly and/or open the doors haphazardly... small price to pay to keep your baby safe... worth the extra cost (if any).
One can only hope that this company's reps give their sales pitches to U.S. cities looking to make their downtowns more spacious.
I'm not so sure that this system wouldn't work here in the USA...

Wow, quite a system, could work as well above ground as below and would save the cost of digging and draining the hole. Of course here the parking slots would need twice as much clearance as they showed in the video to accomodate the SUV,Truck crowd.
.2) Doesnt that Benzo that she was driving have a motion sensitive alarm? I'm sure that there would be alarms going off left right and center in those garages although there wouldn't be anyone around for them to annoy!!
3) If we only had to walk up/down one set of stais (from what I shall now name the reception level) wouldn't that contribute to the obesity issue in this country (since people will get less exercise)?
5) If everyone drove MINIs there would be twice as much street parking... so these things would be obsolete!
The system would be perfect for the USA and if you look in NY there are already some small version of the same thing (although not on the scale of this puppy)
Sounds too complicated to me. Too many things can go wrong. What if the tray gets stuck or the pulley belt snaps after it reaches the end of its lifespan? Try typing this in youtube: skyline parking ag: 360 degrees dual lift system
Sounds much faster and simpler: a turntable where all the cars are in a round configuration like at train yards. This is kinda how they store the engines after parking trains for the day.
