I love my OBX on my 02 Justa. Just loud enough without being intrusive.

Sounds a bit tinny to me. Might sound better in person.

Yea it does on camera, I can't really get any shots of it accelerating which is how it sounds best so revving is all I could do.

if it's all mandrel bent tubing and the mufflers are straight through designs it shouldn't be rocket science to improve the sound

a little muffler repacking session out take the ricey chinese sound out of the exhaust - who's up for a little r&d project?

I ran the OBX header and exhaust for several years (I've since sold the mini). While OBX gets poo poo'ed for being a knock off - ran great, held up really fabulously and mellowed w/ age. I do recommend upgrading clamps.

It will also accept Super Sprint tips and I swapped out to their Viper version which I found used on the board. Hands down a great bang for the buck for the budget enthusiast!

My set-up reused the OEM Cat which was popular back then. Helix actually use to offer to graft the Cat on.

DRONE = zero! I'm taking in-cabin obnoxious drone.
Raspy - at first "I found" the system a bit raspy day one. I swapped out the tips to the Viper (found it used on the marketplace) and found that it changed the overall sound = zero raspy. (Supersprint (SS) makes 4 different tips - bad news very pricey, good news customize to taste). I will tell you that the system mellowed over time. One badass sounding system - w/ lots of burble.

Other things to know - the system is a SS clone and comes in lots of pieces. Bad news pain to assemble, two people makes the difference. Good news, you can adjust so that you have no rubbing or clanking issues.

Get it all in place and tighten from the back forward - have someone monitor the the tips are centered at all times. Tighten up half way - double check tighten up all the way. Its a pain but you can get it perfect. Once It was set-up, I never had ANY issue. 4 years later zero issue - looked great.

Clamps - do not use their cheapie clamps it will un-round the pipes making adjustment difficult or impossible. Buy Stainless clamps.

Without a tune - I got a 4 hp gain and 10 TQ gain. Most will tell you the gains lie in the tune. Both pieces were great bang for the buck back then. Haven't followed pricing lately.

This was all pre-JAN. I know he makes a nice header.

hope this helps.

Hey, still running my OBX with a Magnaflow, now that is a combination that got a lot of flack about noise. This is what a MINI Cooper S should sound like baby..hehehe
