Tell me if I am wrong. . .

My ac compressor sounds like it is vibrating between 4-4.5k RPMs. The car makes a growling sound and causes some of the interior trim to vibrate. This isn't normal, it is?

 

I was thinking the same thing, seems the AC compressor does not like to be reved up that high, shift at 3500 and it sounds normal. It screams at 4k, i guess its normal.

My interior does NOT vibrate though, i just get the growl noise!

My A/C compressor is dead quiet, of course it is also dead and awaiting replacement from the dealer!

 

Interesting that this thread came up. the 2 times I started up my A/C this year was when the car was moving and I heard a "not so normal" noise for a few seconds. Then..........quiet.
