what do you guys think about the new cooper s. i sold my "08 and am contemplating purchasing an '11. the changes look right on to me. i like the new steering wheel and the dash looks a little better. i miss my mini and this time i am going to order one with the options that i truly want.

 

Not a whole lot of difference in the 11's, but I do like the subtle changes they've made inside and out. Ordering with all the options you want is the only way to go ... go for it!

 

There are many more changes than motoring file has reported on. I made a post with some of them on this coupe talk forum.

 

Go for it and get exactly what you want. You can always look back and say "ah sh*t I shouldn't have gotten that"...lol It's never too late for a happy childhood.

Ive been thinking of what to get for my next car. i may have to get a mcs (again) only this time new and ordered by me. after i get out of boot camp in 2 months the 2011s should be hitting the streets already..... right?

The burble is back!!! Go for it... More HP, better MPG, burble, subtle changes, better headlights... What's there not to like!!!

 

Anyone know if you can delete the rear fog lights? It appears on the USA option list, that they are optional. Anyone know for sure?

 

Don't know if it matters, but there is no BRG for the 2011 model year... there's a new replacement for it (Brittish Racing Green II).

I'm just waiting for them to make Connaught Green a standard color.

 

THAT IS WHAT I WAS TALKING. The BRG ll that I have seen on the mini uk site looks very nice, but I remember someone posting a live picture on NAM but can't find it.

Get the rear fog lights, then go to gominigo and get their little circuit board module that turns your rear fogs into tail/brake lights. Very inexpensive extra safety item.

I'm eager to get a 2011 Clubman S. Have an '09 as a loaner and love the extra space, and barely feel any difference in performance or mileage. Then again I won't track the car.
I tried to config one and save with leatherette and 16" wheels but not sure if I'll end up liking those decisions.
