Greetings fellow m2c2 members,

m2c2 is planning a meeting and drive to be held on December the 13th. The goal is to bring together the group and work towards improving the activities and events the club is involved in. We are looking for interested members to help by becoming active in the club, with ideas and/or actions. The idea behind the club was to promote the enjoyment of our cars through social events and gatherings and we need to start planning the upcoming year.

Event: A Toy for Tots Drive
Location: Century MINI, 2750 Laurens Rd, Greenville, SC
Date: December 13, 2003
Time: 10:00, meeting will start at 10:30 in the Dealership Conference Room
Drive will start at completion of the meeting around 12:00 and finish around 4:00 allowing plenty of time to head off to a local dinner place or tour Greenville looking at Xmas lights.

Please bring one unwrapped gift for each car, to be donated to the Marine’s Toys for Tots program. Century MINI will be providing drinks and snacks, so I’ll need a head count of those attending by Thursday the 11th. The parts department will be open until 12:00 and as always m2c2 members get a 10% discount.

Smokey4, I thought Toys for Tots wants UNWRAPPED gifts.. (So they know if it's for a boy or girl and what age group) Please clarify..

I felt bad because I can't make it so I mailed a box to Smokey4 to take down there for me. I hope extras are allowed....otherwise he's going to have some extra stuff to play with for Christmas!

I just figured that one per car wouldn't be too much of a struggle.

Cnhminics and I ran the upper part of the route yesterday; it's going to be nice! Now if we could somehow get the Dealership closer to the twisties!

Glad that the weather is going to be warmer this week and no calls for snow. The roads were clear but plenty of "evidence" of last week snow still around.

Hey, I'm in Shelby, and I'm planning on going down to this. If you Charlotte owners want to meet up with me, let's plan something.

Will we be finished by noon? I have a group of people coming to my house at 2:00.

 

Well that depends, are you coming for the meeting and not staying for the drive? The meeting will be finished around 12:00 but the drive into the Mountains wouldn't be done until around 4:30.

Hope you can make the meeting and we have a few folks coming out of CLT, PM mininc to set up a meet point.

 

Well, I guess I can't make the drive, I have about a dozen people coming over for a "Lord of the Ribs" party. We're barbecue-ing ribs, drinking, and watching Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers in anticipation of Return of the King on the 17th.

Just thought I'd check in, I haven't heard anything from MININC yet (I sent a PM) regarding meeting up Saturday morning.

If anyone from Charlotte reads this, I'd like to meet you guys somewhere on I-85 for the drive down.

Of course, this puts a lot of pressure on me, since I'm installing my new springs and rear sway bar Friday night! Talk about motivation!

I'm battling a wicked virus right now and have to apologies for not giving an update, but we're full swing ahead. Looks like 15 cars and 22 miniacs are confirmed for the meeting and drive.
