2007 New to us

Hi,
Well we just bought a 07' Cooper still under warranty, 23K miles till 02/11.

Right after buying the Mini, it had to go into the dealers shop because of a water leak. Seems the roof drains were pluged and the water went under the floor after wetting down the Body Modual. Shorting it out and causing $1300 damage that the selling dealer paid for.
Now my question is, I paid for an Oil change that I think is covered under the warranty???
Do I need to go back to the Mini dealer and ask for my money back or what??

George

oil change is covered by maintenance not warranty and is only covered when the computer says it is time or 12 months from the last time

maint is 3 years or 36,000 so depending on when it was originally purchased it may be out of maintenance or just not in the window

You can check the BS computer on your turn signal to see if they reset the computer for its next oil change. But Mini should of probably told you that you were or were not do for a oil change. They will probably hook you up with something if not the money. Good Luck and enjoy

Hell I never had a problem when I bought mine used. MINI of Hawaii was so the thrilled that I bought a MINI that they were giving me all kinds of free stuff even though I bought it from a Subaru dealership. They changed the oil under maintance and didn't reset the cpu so but the time my maintence went out (4k miles ago original purchased with 14k on the odo) I had had my oil changed about 5 times. Yes 5 times for frre by the dealership in a year and a half. I don't know if its me but before it went out I had to go in for something completely unrelated and my MA told me it was due and I laughed (it had like 50 or 25 miles left) and I asked how much and they said was still covered and not work about and they ended up doing a bunch of stuff under maintenance.

Welcome to the forum, suggest you ask the dealer about the oil change maybe you will get it, not sure you were owed one at the time.
