hello:

my wife has a 2006 CR MCS with whiteroof/mirrors

she has decided she wants the roof black (I will get black mirror caps)
the rest of the detailing will remain chrome

what is your advice for the best/easiest/least expensive procedure to transform this? yet keep that car looking great, as it is in fine condition

I think if I were in your shoes I'd investigate a vinyl wrap. Vendors like Lyle over at Vinyl Styles have wrapped whole vehicles with success --> http://www.lylesvinylstyles.net/

If you paint, still significant $$ and you've removed your option of returning the MINI to stock.

Plasti-dip likely won't give you the kind of smooth finish you seek.

+1 For the vinyl. It looks good and is reversible. I am doing my roof in chrome to match my mirrors and trim.
