Atla catalytic converter replacement.

The second O2 sensor is tossing a fault. I am thinking it may be easiest to just replace the converter rather than make a work around. They are not that expensive and I am hoping this is the cause (probably is based on what I have read). It sounded like they got a bad batch of converters and changing it out might just be the fix I need.

Any way, what are the recommendations out there. I see Magnaflow, High power, etc. They all must be similar in function. Here are a few I found just looking on the web.

Any proven solutions and experience out there?

Thank you for asking. I erased it and can't find the paper I wrote it on (wife is efficient). It has been causing a CEL since right after the exhaust was first installed. Alta offered to "look at it" if the entire thing was shipped back to them, so the car has just been driven around with the CEL light on for years. The code P0422 is one that popped up often, but I can't be sure it was that one this time. I don't want to give you the wrong information and I won't be driving the car until next week, so I won't guess at the most recent code. It will pop up quickly though once the car is being driven, so it will be Tuesday when I know it for sure.

I'll take a guess and say its P0420 unless you have a couple defoulers installed.

OK, I want to be perfectly fair since my post had an obvious slant to it.

The code was something the first owner of the car couldn't fix. He just lived with it. The code was always about cat efficiency *(meaning second O2 sensor was involved) The primary O2 sensor was replaced just at the same time I bought the car (he found it in his garage) I drove it 167 miles with the new primary installed and then cleared the code. Since then, the code has not re-appeared in 400 miles which according to him is a new record. If it does reappear, I will make note of it here, but I find it really interesting that replacing the first sensor will make a code generated by the second one go away. Not something I would have thought possible.
