Only recently "finger snap THWAP!" therapy stopped making it light back up. At this time the left-most 1/3 of the center console is dark. This includes the (normally illuminated from inside) rear defrost button, and the temp control dial. Everything works, it seems like just a dying lamp has finally finished breaking. Am I fixing this DIY or ?? Any help out there?

I replaced the heater-a/c panel bulbs in my '06 just last week. It is not an easy task.

I've taken apart the center console before and have had the radio and toggle switches out to add electrical mods, but not the heater-a/c panel. This panel is more difficult because the ***** are connected to physical cable linkages for the ventilation control.
