I just installed the Garmin 295W in my R57. I used mini cooper Garmin bracket but I installed it on the right side. The screen is real high res and very clear. The sound is very good to. It picks up a signal right away and is very responsive. It has Google search, traffic, Internet, email and weather and looks good in the mini.

 

Now you can go on-line and download a MINI logo or any picture into the GPS and set it for your start-up image. My Tom Tom calls it "Startup Background"
It makes it look like a custom MINI GSP unit.
It's a nice touch when starting up the GPS unit.
