$9 in materials + 2 complete amateurs + 7 hours labor =

....a new stripe on the MINI!!

As much as I would have liked to have it professionally done, being unemployed leaves one with a minimum amount of cash and a maximum amount of free time. My buddy was off yesterday for the holiday, so we spent the majority of the day cutting, placing, cursing and peeling!

It has a couple of flaws here and there, but all in all I'm happy with it and proud of it. I've never undertaken anything quite like it before, and I think the results are pretty darn good.

Thanks! Now I just want to get the black-mesh upper grille from the Aero Kit (hopefully in time for the European Car Show) and some new wheels and I think I'll be happy with the way she looks...

Great job, Mike! My first MINI's stripes came cheap from a sign shop & I put them on myself. So I know the time & sweat put into what you did

Yep! In fact, the whole time we were doing it, we kept remarking on how we had no clue what we were really doing. Of course, we are amateurs no longer, so just let me know when you're ready for us to do your car!
