Finally replaced my daily driver.

Not sure about the rest of you, but in my neck of the woods, winters can be rather harsh. Main thing, I don't want the MINI to rust out from all the salt and cinder they toss on the roads here in Western PA, so come October, the MINI gets stored till the roads get swept, which is usually around April or so...

For the winters, I usually run the Jeep and a secondary AWD vehicle, which for the last 4 years has been a Mazdaspeed6. With all the reliability issues with the Mazda, I decided to replace it...and the love for the MINI brought me towards my new winter ride, a BMW 335xi.

Here are some pics of the new wheels...rest assured, the honeymoon is not over with the MINI. This car gets tons of usage in the months she's to be driven

It must be nice to be able to put a BMW into "daily driver service". Oh well for the rest of us, congrats.

Doesn't get better than that. And I was hoping to drive an old beater like a Corolla or a Dodge Colt this winter to rest my MINI.

Well, recall that I need AWD. I use the Jeep too, but in winters here, the MINI would not even make it up the driveway...plus I have plans to keep the MINI for a long time so I want to keep it mint. Harderst part is looking at it in February, knowing I can't take it out. :(

Thanks, FWIW, I had an 86 Colt that I got off my brother, that car would not die. Probably the best beater car ever...

Thanks, it took me over 3 months to find this car (manual, sport, AWD and nav is a rare combo...so I actually got this closer to you in Indy than me...@ Jake Sweeney BMW in Cincy. My Mini is from P&W Motors here...so I probably would have stayed with them if I would have went local (BMW / MINI dealer). I've really heard good things about Rahal.
