Suspension Photoshop : is this set-up achievable ?
Photoshop : is this set-up achievable ?
hi,
I made a photoshop of a mini cooper/one with a lowering and a 16 inch lenso bsx wheel (bbs rs immitation).

Is this kind of set-up achievable with a coilover instead of a airride ? I'm thinking of a V-maxx, FK kit maybe ?
I just wanna know if it's achievable with a coilover, I'm aware of the risks by riding this low.
greetings

The Coilover thread in the first gen suspension forums has a few coilover pics that are about that low, (The shadow makes it tough to see exactly how low your pictured mini is.
Here is a link, The BC and Koni's are the lowest two on the first post. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-and-info.html
Good luck with dropping a cooper down that low, around here I'm already bottoming out at stock height.

depends on the rims...offset/width... id say more than likely yes its achievable
edit: they appear to be 7 wide and possibly offered in et25 and 38... 25 should poke and 38 is fender flush

Getting a rear ride height like that will be hard without a bunch of work.
From the looks of it, the lip on the rear (16" wheel) is right at the arch. At this height, your upper rear control arm will be up against the body of the car which means you will be bashing it when going over bumps. This would have to be addressed.
Up front your control arms will be at the point where they start to bind with the subframe.
Third, buy the real thing. Replica wheels are lame.
