x9331 connector - the same for Hi-Fi and base systems?

Hello all. I have read nearly every topic on the x9331 connector, and I found the parts list that Robin Casady so helpfully posted in another thread:

Male connectors - 61131376193
My question is whether the parts list is accurate for the base stereo, as well as the Hi-Fi. I have the 6-speaker setup and I want to make my own harness simply because I can't see spending $100 for the newministuff one when I know how to solder.

Thank you all, the information I have gotten on this site has been instrumental in preparing me for my install (which should commence in a few weeks when all my gear has arrived!)

Simple answer yes. the connector parts are the same for Base and HiFi systems.

Long answer - yes the connector parts are the same and on the radio side the wiring is the same. On the speaker or amp side the wiring is different.

Thanks Schatzy, always helpful.

I am also trying to figure out how to add RCAs to the harness, but I already have a JL CleanSweep, so I imagine I could skip adding RCAs and just use the speaker-level inputs.

However, if I can minimize complication in the system by leaving the CleanSweep out, I'd prefer that.

Actually, I just found that the amp I'm looking at accepts high or low level inputs, as long as they have RCA ends on them. That solves the problem!

Which amp are you using?

Right now, I'm pretty much set on a JL HD600/4. I like the XD600/6 and it would do fine too, so we'll see.
