Wisemen, The cooper S is leaking power steering fluid from one of the hoses (not sure if feed or return line). My original plan was to get a comparable hose from the local auto parts store, but this evening I was shopping on the FastMini.net site, and saw that they sell these hoses for $54 a pop! Is there something special about the hose that I am missing?

$54.00 is a great price! I think that may be the line from the res. to pump.

Good find. Pelican must be for OEM.

 

I have the same problem with both leaking. Has anyone done the replacement and it it a straight forward job; any special tools needed.

Also, is it standard power steering fluid or it that special also ???

 

Power Steering fluid is Pentosin CHF 11S, cheapest most have found it locally is ~$20 at NAPA or Carquest.
