Wow, I had a great time at Hawaii Raceway Park today. Definitely left a lot of rubber embedded in the pavement of the track!

Baronious - the tire pressures you recommended worked really well, wear was nice and even and right where it should be during my runs, handling was pretty good too.

Here are my times:

Run 1: 79.114
Run 2: 76.666
Run 3: 74.542
Run 4: 72.969

They were all clean runs, no missed gates or disturbed cones.

I also did 4 fun runs, and managed clean runs for the first two runs, with times:

Fun run 1: 72.881
Fun run 2: 70.974

Fun Run 3, I knocked over a cone, and got a time something like 71.1??. Fun Run 4, I knocked over a cone AND ran off the track, so I decided that would be my last run. When I went back to the shack, though, to get my last time, they were already tearing it down, and I was told it was too late to get my last time. So, I also have no idea what my "ranking" was, or if I was even supposed to receive one (the classes and handicap stuff still confuses me).

Many thanks to Gary K. who instructed me during my first run, telling me where to brake, where to yank the steering wheel sharply, etc. He was absolutely thrilled to be riding in an MCS. :smile: Turns out, he also works in the same building I do, so we talked shop for a while until Heat 4 started. He was very encouraging, enthusiastic, and a good instructor.

And many thanks as well to Minihune, who showed me how to rotate the tires Friday evening, and loaned me his torque wrench for race day.

Driving Lucy at the track was so much fun! She is such a great car. I wish I could go to the next event in December. Ah well ... hopefully January won't be a problem. I can't wait!!!

Excellent job. Each run the times were steadily dropping which is always a good sign.

The results just came through...

Congrats big-time to both baronious (in his STi) and to MINIangelD (in her MCS) in WINNING their respective classes on Saturday !! [I got 7th (out of 8 ) in mine .]
