General mini respray question

This is very general and I know that a respray on any car can cost anywhere from $59 - $10,000 - but looking for the consensus/real life example here.

What did you pay for a complete respray/color change on your classic mini (assuming minimal body work here).

Are you delivering the painter with an already stripped car (no interior or engine for a inside/outside respray) or are you just needing the outside done? Several people here have done full body resprays, but they literally took everything off the car, in some cases even the subframes/wheels and delivered the body on a flat bed...

nice looking paint!

when i bought my Mini, the guy had a shop he sends alot of his cars do mine. im still waiting to get it back but the respray was $700 and the little body work that it had done was $300. i'm waiting anxiously to get it back. this was not a full disassemble like some paint work. the engine was pulled, outside of the car is being resprayed in the same color as before.

sooo, if you have the hook up, id say anywhere between $700-$1000. Without one, a bit more. Just do yourself a favor and don't go to Maaco or something.

Yeah - was thinking of stripping everything off the car - maybe just with the subframe/minimal suspension left on car as long as they can paint under and inside wheel wells. That mean everything - inside doors, bonnet, hood, trunk, engine compartment....just trying to make it easy and something that truly resprays the car like it came from factory, etc. Just seeing if anyone else out there tried this before.

My dream is to have Almond Green color and just seems easier to find a used example and do it right with the respray and go for 'perfect'.
