Not sure if this is the right forum but...

I'm getting a new phone next month and need to figure out a way to mount it.

I have an '03 cooper S with nav screen, I'd like to figure out a way to mount the phone in front of the nav screen as I never use it, but with a way to move the mount if i need to use it.

I was thinking of a mounting that attached to the right side of the center console, next to the radio and went up. I just need to figure out how to mount it, then i'll figure out the cabling and such, micro usb on the bottom and audio on the top(although I think it might be possible to use a splitter type thing to get audio and power with the micro-usb, like on my current htc phone)

I'm thinking a rightside downtube mount with a goose neck attachment

Don't know how to help you with mounting it but I just wanted to say that phone is awesome. I've gotten to play with one and I can't wait for it to come out.

This is just a prototype, as you can see it will fit most devices. The production version will be ready in a week or two, and will look better in all black.

hi, I am also getting this phone (although I'm dreading having to keep my old g1 a few more months due to contract- but screen is not working so good)
anyway- just got my 03 mini a couple of months ago and I'm very excited- I am mainly trying to learn about how to update the sound- I want to install my JVC head unit and some new speakers- and woofer..
OK for mounting- I was thinking about trying this - cheap on overstock- I think I could suction it on the speedometer.. what do you think?

I think I'm going to hold out for the Craven Speed mount for my iPhone.

 

I just got the EVO as well and i will probably just go with the Kuda Mount for the R56 / R57....Hopefully they will come out with a dock, but i can still use the Kuda mount even with a dock.
