I'm trying to figure out how to decode my VIN to tell what part of the year my car was built in.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

 

open the driver's door and it should state it on the VIN label ...

 

check the decal on your drivers side door jam ?

Black decal with silver imprint. Top line where it says "passenger car " look under that at next line down. It will have a Mfg date stamped in the decal like - 03/03. That would be interpreted as March of 2003.
