Is head unit identical for the H/K Upgrade?
I am considering ordering a 2010 Mini Mayfair. I have worked in many mobile electronic shops & was not satisfied with the "Upgraded" H/K Audio system.
Can anyone tell me if the "Upgraded" system changes out the head or is it simply the addition of the H/K amp and speakers?
Since the system is so integrated I was considering using a JL clean sweep or Rockford 362. Was considering somthing similar to the ealier threads started by mikeinsf.
Have had good luck with these on other highly integrated systems such as GMs onstar etc.
Any help appreciated. Or talk me out of purchasing this vehicle........

So, the H/K upgrade uses the same head and I can forget it and grab the X9331 and go from there?????
Or would you get better results from the audio upgrade harness from newmini?? This is a harness that will plug into the OEM head unit and omit the need to tap the X9331. I believe it inludes RCA outs.
