Assymetrical Tread

I'm looking at tires to replace the run-flats on the '09 Clubman S. I've found a compact spare that will fit the hole back there and am looking at Sumitomo, Yokohama, Kuhmo and Conti for replacements. Some of these have assymetrical tread; the outer tread of the tire is different from the inner tread.

Can these assymetrical tires be rotated as other tires? Can you rotate them in the X pattern, or just front to back on the same side? Maybe a question for Tire Rack, eh? Thanks.

asymmetrical... yeah any rotation....the pattern on the outside of the wheel will always be on the outside regardless of rotation

now, directional....no only front to rear
