Replacing Cylinder Head Cover - Twice a year?!

My Mini-S has the Yellow engine lights on last week while the only problem that really affecting me is the non-stable idle time. Gasoline usage is around the same as normal use. This only happen after the engine being warm up and weather here is not cold at all. I took it to service and they said that the error code is the low O2 intake.

I have the quotation on hand now from the BMW Hong Kong service center. They need to replace the cylinder head cover (Pt#11127585907), gaskets (Pt#11127572851) etc. My R56 07 has the HPFP and cylinder head cover replaced 9 months ago, why i need to replace twice with-in the same year?

I only use my mini for day to day driving and not even play hard on it, why the service center keep replacing the cylinder head cover? is that a consumable parts? Since my car is out of warranty now, I'm fighting with the service guy on this...

Will the Seafoam also help on this? Is there any suggesting on make N14 more durable/usable for daily use?

Orangecrush had a couple of these replaced. I believe due to a loose downpipe.

Otherwise, it shouldn't be melting or need replacement. It's plastic, but it shouldn't NEED replacing.

Got it replaced which still under the 1 year warranty. I was told it is due to the pipe under the cover is leaking but there is no individual parts just for that leaking pipe.

I have no idea what pipe is that but really fixed my problem.
