195/55/15 on 15x7

Any fitment issues with a 195/55/15 tire on 15x7 wheels on a 2007 MC (non-s)? What about 205/50/15. Am I right that those are the ideal sizes for that wheel on a mini?

I am thinking of going with the Falken Ziex 912s or the Dunlop Z1 Star Spec. I know they are very different tires, but they are the best of their respective breeds (all season vs summer), and I can't decide whether I want ultimate autox performance, or fun and friendly limits for road driving.

No fittment issues with any of them but 205/50-15 is a better performing tire. Falken 912 all-season vs Dunlop Star Spec extreme summer is a bit like Apple vs Sausages. Check this out: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...lication.htmlp

link didn't come through. I know 205 will have more grip, but the mini isn't all about grip. a lot of the time too much grip can ruin a car's fun-to-drive factor. hence the indecision between a crazy-sticky tire and a more reasonable one.

am i right that 195/55/15 is similar in diameter to the OE sizes?

I'm runnin' 195/55-16 Bridgestone Potenza G019 Grids (you might want to check these out; HP All-Season) on my stock 16" Bridgespoke Wheels, so yes the 195/55/15 is a similar diameter. Coming October I hoping to upgrade wheels!!
