I've got a 2007 Cooper, and fitted 15x7 team dynamics wheels last summer. I need new tires, and was hoping to get a recommendation for what brand/type of tire, and also what size. I was thinking 195/60/15. I do a few autox-es each year, but am not competitive, and really prioritize driving fun over absolute grip.

I would consider 205/50/15 Dunlop Direzza DZ101 -- this tire is very highly rated yet is very affordable.

This tire is slightly smaller in diameter which will improve your acceleration,
wider to improve traction yet has enough sidewall for a good ride.

 

I am going with Falken RT-615 205/50/15 on my 2009 justa. Am buying before end of April to get the $80 discount from Discount Tire Co.

 

anyone used the Falken Ziex ZE-912?

 

and would the 615s have any problem fitting in a base 2007 cooper?
