A little late for me to wonder about this but after looking at MINIUSA I have a question. I got the optional 16 inch 5-star runflats on my MC. This was a $500 dollar option that replaced the standard 15 inch wheels. I noticed when configuring an MC today that there are several 17" wheels available as assessories. For example white 17 inch S-lights for $900. If you order these wheels are they installed on the car at the factory as replacements for the 15 inchers or are they shipped separately and you get to keep the stock 15 inchers the car comes with? If that's true it means I could have gotten a spere set of wheels and runflats for $400. Also, on the MC if you order 17 inch wheels do you get a 17 inch spare. I know that's probably a dumb question but since the 17 inch wheels are an assessory instead of an option, anythings possible.

If the question is all scewed up just let me know, I'm a big boy and I can take it.

Well ... maybe I can help you out. I have a set of 17" white S Lites I'd like to get rid of. Rubber is all but gone but the wheels are in great shape. If you're interested PM me and shoot an offer my way. All offers fully considered.

Cheers

Geoff

resmini, you can only specify your car to come with the set of wheels that are on it. If you order optional wheels, you won't get what's standard for that car, only the set you paid extra for.

I believe the Accessory wheels are installed at your dealership. Dealerships like to pretend they came from the factory so they can cash in on a free set of rims

I believe you are correct. The difference between optional and assessory is installed at the factory or installed at the dealer. The dealer then e-bays the wheels that came on the car.

that's correct. its a give and take. if you bought it sparately, you probably
pay more because of shipping, etc. but you get to keep your factory wheels.
if you bought your car on a loan, you can put the extra fee for the optional
wheels on the loan and hide it from your wife.

i bought mine with the R90's and bought cheep 16's for my winter set.
