OEM Windscreen leaving marks on seat

I'm using the factory windscreen on my 2010 Cabrio with the gray leatherette seats. I removed it after 5 days of use and it left some marks. Picture attached. Anyone have this happen?

By the way the I ordered the oem screen with the checkerboard pattern on the top screen. Its spec'd for pre-2009 Cabrios and wonder if thats the problem. After reading msgs on this forum that the older screens worked on the r57s I got this one.

Hi DieselNYC, I have both pre and post 2009 Windows deflectors. I wanted to use the old one but noticed that it would slightly press into my punch black leather seats. Decided to get the new one which does not do that. I posted this on mini2.com so the pictures are not here.

Sorry this happened to you.

Thanks for the info. Good news is that the marks have gone away a day after I removed the screen. Guess I won't leave the screen on for too many days in a row.

Maybe dremel away the middle of the screen on the horizontal portion? Take out a bit of it and you shouldn't have any problems, right?
