Bridgestone RE960 Pole Position

Hello,

I recently got a good deal on the RE960 PP, and have broken them in a bit. I am very impressed with them as an All-Season!

First, even on the 2009 MCS, they are a huge improvement over the stock Dunlop runflats. I noticed the difference just driving from the shop bay through the parking lot. If you are thinking of ditching your runflats, I recommend doing so. Then put some of the money you are saving per tire towards AAA .

Second, I do not know if it is because I had 215s put on, or because of the tires themselves, but torque steer is greatly reduced. With the stock Dunlop runflats, I would have some fairly substantial torque steer in straight-line acceleration. That is now gone, and turns are fun!

Finally, performance. For an all season I am very impressed. Way better grip than the runflats. When I do get them to break free, it is very controlled and predictable (great fun!). Even bigger surprise is wet traction. Again, the 215 vs 205 helps, but straight-line acceleration did not kick on DTC, and even spirited driving was incredibly stable.
