Koni Yellows - HSport Springs Install Question

I finished installing everything on the rear last night but have a quick question about the shocks and bump stops. When installing the HSport bump stops which direction should they be going? Tapered end pointing up or down? Also, should those small white plastic pieces be installed that are shown going on the top of the shock body be intalled? Currently I have not put in white plastic pieces in and have the bump stops in with the tapered end pointing up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Aside from that everything went together fairly smooth. One thing is for sure, the stock shocks on my 05 MCS with 52,000 miles were shot. When I'd push the shafts in the they would remain stuck, virtually no rebound.

One last thing, it is my understanding that the shocks are adjustable for rebound only is this correct? What effect does turning the shock shaft have if any?

Thanks in advance.
