What is the accessory drive?

Brought my 02 S in for a 200k checkup and was told there was a "scraping noise from the accessory drive". What is the accessory drive?

may be.. talking about accessory drive belt = serpentine belt?

scraping would make sense with the belt related.

may be? =)

I've always heard it as a general term meaning either the serpentine belt or various belts depending on which style the engine uses

just like talking to your doctor

if you don't understand keep asking questions until you do

if they - the service advisors - don't like it TUFF
