Brewswap question
Brewswap question
For those of you who have been in the past....
How much do you recommend bringing to the brewswap?
One unrelated question. We rented a cabin at Fontana so we could do some of our own cooking. Is there a grocery type store around the resort?

I have always taken 2 cases for swapping.
There is the general store at Fontana for quick things and the prices are not too bad. There is an Iggles grocery Store in Robbinsville(~20 Min), and a Super Walmart in Murphy.(~an hour).

My wife and I brought two cases last year. We actually had a few left over for our own consumption.
We brought some of our own food, since most places are some distance to get too. If you need something, the Fontana store might have it, but not always.

I rade my dad's bar and clean out the frig of all the stuff that is in there that has not been drank witch is adout a 12 pack. this year i beleave there are a few x-mass ales from great lakes that i will be bring so the good folks down south can see what all the hipe is.
as for cooking the cabins are pretty well equp. so what i do is make food at home and food save it freeze it and or pack it on dry ice (dry ice because it is not messy and will last the 2 day trip down) for the car ride down. in this way i only need to heat up the food saved meal and that is a breaze. one thing the cabins do not a bbq so if you want burgers/dogs bring a smal one.
