Hi everyone my name is Joe. Just joined and plan on buying a Mini Cooper S in the next year. I was wondering what are some of the best add ons that you would all suggest. I know Mini is offering 1.9% financing right now, but should I wait til year end clearance instead? Btw I am from Ocean county and thnx in advance for the help.
Don't know where you are buying from but I used to be an MA at Princeton. The two things I have always gotten for my MINI are MINI's extended warranty and Princeton had a great tire/wheel warranty. You don't think you're going to need it 'til you hit that one pothole and not only take out your runflat tire but destroy the rim too. I took out two entire rim/tire combos within a six month period because of NJ's wonderful roads after winter. It would have cost me a fortune without that warranty.

What do u mean by stripped? Like no add on parts directly from the dealer? i would have either be going to the dealer in Princeton or the one in Philly most likely. Also, would I be better off ordering it the way I want or take whatever a dealership has in inventory? I think I read on here that most of the time you can't really talk them down in price. Once again I appreciate this.

One other thing that you might want to do is search here on NAM regarding the pros and cons over the Run Flat tires. I never had them so I'm not speaking from experience, but I have seen a lot of cons over the quality of the ride that they provide. Apparently the Run Flats tend to pass a lot more of the bumps and bangs into the frame of the car and on to you. I'm not even sure if you have the option of NOT getting the Run Flats when you order a MCS...do some reading...and I'm assuming that you know you don't get a spare tire with an MCS.

Since you don't live in Jersey City...
I would go with the 17" Black Webspokes...that is a beautiful MINI wheel that they offer on some of the packages...That wheel looks really good on the Midnight Black...my opinion.
I currently have an 07 PW/Black R56 MCS...I will be turning it in for a Midnight Black Hatch...if the other vehicle doesn't come in as expected.

But actually as you can see Joe, what you are buying into is becoming one of US...
Laugh...Drive...Eat Laugh...Drive...Eat Laugh...Drive...Eat, you poor thing!
Lol that's perfectly fine. Who doesn't like to drive, eat and laugh? I appreciate all of the info that you guys have provided me. Btw I was wondering if that BMW dealership in Cherry Hill was going to start selling the Mini. I will probably really begin my search once I graduate college in May. But figured it never hurts to get a head start on meeting the community.
Joe,
I definitely suggest you read more about MINI and hang on more on this site. You will learn alot from here and be able to know about the add ons that will help you on your decision.
I chose the dealership which has the best offer/deal for me and I don't care whether it's the farthest from me because a long drive home the first time you get your MINI will surely be FUN anyway.

The Mini dealer I believe is going to be out on Rt 73 in the Marlton area amd it's opening is very, very soon. (The signage is going up soon if not already up)
Peg is right, Lorin would look good in a Kia Soul.
And where is Steve? He usually has some thoughts on this subject.
