Need Help With 3Sixty.2!
Hi! i have been in the process of upgrading my stereo....
so far i have changed the speakers to Polk Audio's db6501 components front and rear, i have a Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.2 under the passenger seat, an infinity kappa five amp in the boot (right side compartment), and a Polk Audio mm840 subwoofer... the only thing not done yet is the sub enclosure (almost finished!)
I posted about this on another thread but i guess is dead already...(https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...questions.html)
Now... i'm having problems with all this, the sound improved compared to the boost system but the sound its not as clear as i would like it to be
... is just way louder than stock but not much clarity to it... the rear speakers sound just as the stock ones... muffled, no highs and no bass.. same 100hz cutoff...
i have spent hours playing around with the 3sixty.2 but im hopeless
im an audiotard when it comes to equalizing. The 3sixty.2 has a channel summing feature...should i use that??
i really need some input i don't think the equipment i bought is that bad i think it's because of the eq settings or something. someone with a 3sixty.x would be really helpful because you know how complicated it can get..
sorry for going back and forth but i don't know what to do anymore
btw: i did all the install just following the how to's here! NAM rocks!

As penta said you need to use only the front channels to drive the 360.2 and then to the amp.
There is not a processor on teh market that can take nothing and make somting from it. The base system rear channels have such a roll off that there really is nothign ther for the 360.2 to work with.
you should be able to drive the 360.2 wtih just the front cahnnels and get 4 channels out. Also to due proper equallization on the 360.2 you will reall need a computer of some sort hooke dup to it. The Palms do work but a full blown computer i have found does a much better job.

schatzy thanks!
So.. i should just drive the 3sixty.2 with only the front channel signal from the HU?
what do i do with the rear channels? just leave those cables tucked somewhere?
i thought that the channel summing feature did that... when i run OEM SETUP on the 3sixty.2 it asks me if i want to sum the channels so thai i can get a full range singnal....i'm i wrong?
also, when i just use the front channel signal would i be able to control fader/balance?
And yes you are so right i tried doing it with a palm device and was a pain in the a$$ so i just use the laptop... much better. do you have some recommendations about EQ settings on the 3sixty.2? crossover points, subsonic filter, crossover slope and time alignment how should i set those?
Any input will be appreciated
