engine mounts

just ordered in a full engine mount kit, cuz every one of my mounts is worn... anyways, wondering if theres any things i should be expecting... in a bad way, or if they are just sub them in for eachother, also if someone has pics of where each one is supposed to go, i think mine might be missing one(prev owner was an idiot)

thanks.

they are pretty much a sub in for each other, The left enigine mount, mounts to the bottom of the clutch cover, the right one is below the radiator mount. That is all the engine mounts. The engine steady bushes are another, just take off the steady, pull out the old ones and put in the new. Thats all there is to it. If you want to stiffen your front end up then replace the subframe mounts with solid ones.

Did you buy the engine mounts with the nuts built into the mount? Makes life so much easier without trying to get mounting holes, bolt and nuts all at the same time!!!! Well worth the extra few bucks for a lot less hassle. My original mounts had the nuts welded in place the first time I pulled the motor - when I rebuilt the car I installed new mounts with the captive nuts and new bolts.

You might be surprised to know how much these little motor mounts can impact your total car- handling, comfort and even controlling the chances of having the engine move so far as to significantly damage the carb or manifold, etc. Two required per car and the are only held in place by 5 simple bolts!
