So the wife and I drove from the shore up to Stratford Ct yesterday to visit with my brother's family. Came back today. UP the GS parkway, over the Tappen Zee and up the Merritt Parkway.

What a great couple of days for some long drives in the MINI. Sun was shining, traffic not too bad, missed all of the BIG potholes, and had a great visit. Had good tunes, moonroof open, just enjoying the ride.

The best part? Both of my brother's Son-in-laws were jealous of my MINI. I had to tell them that they have to raise their kids first, buy the kid's toys, then they get their own.

 

The Merritt a blast in the MINI! Love the super short on and off ramps for the gas stations.

 

Did that run real early one morning last fall. What a blast!

 

Well, while you were out suckin' up the beautiful weather in your Mini, I was in my driveway with Itsy scrapin' off the salt and then giving him his first bath of 2010...he sure looked good when I finished...he'll be good up until Thursday evening when we get our next rain and it reactivates the road salt. Oh well...smell the roses while they're out!

 

Lucky you! I'm still climbing over frost heaves here in NH. I've discovered that my Mini is great in the frost heaves - instead of bouncing out of control, it sticks to them. Can't wait to get the snows off and start really motoring this Spring!

 

Well- today the drive is through Maryland. Left early this am, for several stops down here. Some decent back roads around here to enjoy the weather, open the roof up, feel the sun on my bald head.

Life is good in a MINI.

Staying over tonite, and then some interesting roads through SE Pa before heading home. Hopefully good weather until I'm home.

And when the rains come later this week, I'll be in Myrtle Beach SC, for a quick family visit (and no golf )
