Pencil style tire gauge?
Pencil style tire gauge?
Anybody have a recomendation for a good pencil style tire gauge? I'm looking for a nice one preferrably with a brass head and made in U.S.A. I need the pencil style for space conservation. I've looked at Snap On, Mac, Matco, and several other big name tool companys and theirs are all made in China. I know it's not going to be cheap if I can find one and I'm ok with that as long as I can find a good one.
You didn't try to Google it? These came right up:

Thanks for the links. I did Google and the one at Amazon I found. It's pretty much what I want but I prefer a 45 degree head which I forgot to mention. The Milton Industries I did not find but that's exactly what I was looking for. It seems that American made products are becoming harder and harder to find.
The 45 degree Milton is carried on Amazon as well: http://www.amazon.com/Pencil-Type-Ti...932459&sr=1-16
I have an antique Schrader USA pressure gauge. It is all brass, including the graduated shaft. I bought it at an antique expo.
Exactly like this one, only in better condition and with the brass graduations:

I got this one at Walmart for less than $10. Its not a pencil gauge, but about as small, and smaller than most digital ones I've seen. I would think it would fit just about anywhere you would need for space conservation.
I was under the impression the pencil type were not "as accurate" as the dial type, though I have been using the pencil gauges for quite some time, until buying the new digital gauge mentione above, for our "new to us" R50.
