Castle to Castle Ride July 17th

This 4th annual ride is a family event. Bring your favorite Mini People along.
Join us for an all day ride to 3 totally different Castles, drive through the awesome Garden of the Gods Park, thrilling twisties, picnic and more!

I.) Glen Eyrie Castle is an English style Castle built by the Founder of Colorado Springs, General William J. Palmer. http://www.dupontcastle.com/castles/gleneyri.htm

II.) Bishop Castle is a work-in-progress by one man: Jim Bishop. Since 1969, Mr. Bishop has been working on his mountainside masterpiece one stone at a time and it is still growing! His castle is dedicated to hard working poor people and all hard working Americans working for a better nation. http://www.dupontcastle.com/castles/bishop.htm See also MINI5280 members' photos from the 2005, 2007, 2008 & 2009 trips (links to albums).

Well poo.

RMVR Pikes Peak vintage race weekend. I imagine I will be out on Corner 4 again.

But then, maybe I will only work the race on Sunday.

Castle to Castle is only one week away

Please sign up so we can get an accurate count in order to provide mini5280.org funded food & refreshments at our last Castle visit at Hermann's Burg Mary Castle.

Two (2.5) people per Mini will be calculated to account for any Mini Guests. Contact me if you have more than .5 Mini Guest.

We've had a situation come up and instead of a nice twisty drive and tons of castles on Saturday, I'm going to Nebraska.
Nothing dramatic but our youngest has caught a bad case of homesickness and needs us to come get her.
Pictures please and someone write a short article for the newsletter please.

Well, still counting 2 for the BBQ, but it appears we will be joining you sometime on the route in the afternoon.

Still using radios with 7/21?

Also, need the absolute address for the Beeh's.

Mike, can you send it via a PM for my GPS?

Thanks,
Don

This one is not in the cards for me and Susan to attend.

Turns out I was "volunteered" to volunteer at a charity event Susan is
a part of (Alex Hoag Run for Sunshine).

I do plan on being at the Springs Group meet-up, got something for Kristina and Joe,
Don, Umberto, and Seth.

I just looked at the map and realized how much driving is involved in this event and have decided that the classic is out. I don't feel like dealing with potential issues during the drive.
