Navigation & Audio CD Player forgets there is a cd inserted

CD Player forgets there is a cd inserted
I put in an MP3 CD into my 2007 MCS, plays just fine. The next time I get in and try to play the cd, it says insert disc. Then I hit eject and put the cd back in and again plays fine. Any idea what is going on? I am guessing this isn't normal.
