EIM 3rd Annual "Spring has Sprung" Meet-n-Eat -- 3/20 at Granite City, CR
Get ready for a unique and special March Meet-n-Eat on Saturday, March 20th at the Granite City Food and Brewery in Cedar Rapids.
Details including times, address, phone, map, and links for restaurant info and RSVP sign-up, are available in the EIM Event Calendar Entry (<---link).
Will sunny skies and dry roads prevail, like last year?
Will a rusty old El Camino confuse itself as a MINI and park in the middle of our lineup?
Will I be the only one who still has snow tires mounted?
Come join us and find out!

I will not be able to make this event as this is the weekend that we will be finishing our week in Switzerland. Actually that day we will be in Lucerne!
Hope you all have a good time.
Just as an FYI, I contacted the folks at Willis Auto Campus in Des Moines and extended to them a personal invitation to join us at this Meet-n-Eat. I subsequently heard back from Karen Grogan at Willis; she is socializing our event among their staff, placed our event on their internal planning calendar, and indicated that she'll be getting back in touch with me with more info. There seems to be genuine interest in forging a connection with our group.
It would be cool if one of them can meet with us and tell us all about plans for the new MINI Cooper franchise at their dealership!

Indeed it would! Thanks for extending the invitation!
I just went to see the line up. I did not see my name. I cant believe that I didnt sign up before. So once again it will be me +3.
Rob, hope u can make it.
It is a bit time consuming. I am happy the MINI is small! I don't remember how long it took me. I reserved a full afternoon. I started late morning and I think I was done with everything before supper time. A wash, clay bar, wax, wheel wax -which meant putting her on jack stands. Having her on jack stands is nice because there is less bending. This year I have a seat on wheels to make the trip around the car a little easier. I know I did interior detailing on a different day.
"Butt Dyno" ???? I'm not sure I'd engage it even if I knew what it was.
1. butt-dyno (n) A device which implements a human being's rear-end to report a vehicle's performance in acceleration or engine power. (e.g., My butt-dyno says that mod gave me 10 extra horsepower!)
I know Granite City is a really short drive from Marion, but it should be far enough that you can try yours out!
