I am now out of the Factory Warranty Coverage.

Should I get extended with Mini or go with Independent Coverage ?

I need to know which is better for the Money spent.

having owned 2 cpo'd bmw's, i would get the cpo if you can negotiate a fair price on it. our x5's warranty has paid for itself many times over. the 540 on the other hand only has 50k miles on it before the 6 yrs ended.

 

check with credit unions or other extended warranties. Most of them will allow you to get your repairs anywhere you want. Dealer or not.

 

Extended warranties sold by Mini dealerships are actually 3rd party policies. Mini dealers just make a fee or % from it. You're better off researching and buying it yourself.... more likely it should be less expensive.
