Does anyone have measurement of the front clearance from the very
bottom of the aero kit lip to the ground using the H-springs or equivalent drop?

My weekend car is about 110mm in the front and will not clear the autowash rails.
I need approx 140mm clearance.

Thanks.

Mark Ferguson has the aerokit on his cooper S with the H-sports. I'll send him a link to this thread. He might have measurements or comments on the amount of scrapping.

With H&R springs, the stock front end and 17" Perilli's the front clearance on my S is 130mm. However there's a lip about 6" or 8" back that drops clearance to about 70mm. I don't know if this lip is still there with the aerokit though.

The ground clearance from the lowest part of the lip on the aero kit is a scan 79.4mm from the ground. Its really low (but I also have H-sport camber plates on my car and am running a little less than a degree of negative camber up front). Currently its low enough that I have to be pretty careful with it. The times it does drag its now on the lowest part but on the painted underside of the bumber cover. Additionally I broke the middle out of the lower lip last winter as it hits almost everything when it was intact. Having it break out was actually a good thing as now I'm able to miss both things.

To further aggrevate things I also ran the car with 15" Enkei RPF-1 (9.6lbs each) for a while and due to the decrease in wheel diameter I was no longer able to go over small bumps (in and out of parking lots) without dragging.

Since I've never had the stock bumper cover on my car its hard to tell if the same thing would happen with lowered ride height but so far I haven't heard anyone complain of this with the H-Sport springs.

Hope this helps!

Mark

mark- dohhhhh!!! thanks for the info, but that's too low for chi-town.

I noticed that the lip itself is not that low, but that black part under the lip
drapes pretty low so yah, that's what i was worried about.

Thanks did and mark for your help. Im going to have to get me a second
cooper-s if i decide to lower it.
