Where do you all ground your amp?

So I'm ordering my stuff for my upcoming stereo install and I was wondering where you all ground your Amps in the back. I tried searching and didn't find anything. I assume you can just ground it to the battery terminal just like the positive since it's all so close to the battery. Should I be grounding the amp to the chassis or to the negative battery terminal? The difference is about 12" of ground wire from the chassis to the battery. I just don't want any funny ground noises.

I am going to ground my JVC head unit to chassis as close to the head unit as possible and not use the harness ground for the head unit. I'm only going to run 1 Alpine PDX-5 5 channel amp and a single 6 channel monster cable RCA cable. This should make for a pretty simple and clean install.

Thoughts?

Not sure what car you are talking about but the Gen 2 cars had the battery up under the cowl just in front of the windshield as far as I know. That is where my battery is.

Also where do you plan to install the JVC head unit. I a 2nd Gen car it will not fit in the center console with out costly special plastics. It can be mounted in the secret compartment though. If you do go to buy the center console plastics remeber one thing the OEM head unit MUST stay in the car and connected. it runs many of the central computer electronics.

hello sorry for my English but I'm writing from Italy.

I want to connect an amplifier to my mini

I saw that you took the cable connectors x9331.

What wires did you use to get the signal from the front and rear speakers?

I've already bought the adapter to be amplified in the pre-amplified and do not know where to connect.

Please help

Gianni
