2 Questions...

1. Is there a way to set an audible tone when I lock or unlock the doors on my MINI? According to the manual it can be done but when I tried it the option didn't seem to be there.
2. I've had my MINI for just over a month and only once has the snowflake popped up and when it did it was like 40 degrees! Other than that day, the temps haven't been much over 20-30 since I bought her...should I be worried that something's not right with my computer since the snowflake only came up once? It's not a big deal but I just want to be sure everything's ok with my baby

1. I think this is only available with the factory alarm, as my MA said it wasn't possible. I noticed the same thing in the manual though.

2. I asked this same question recently. The computer notices when the temperature is warm, then drops to below ~37F. That's when you get the snowflake. So for example, if it's 40F out and then the temp drops to 35F, you'll get the snowflake.

Ok, thanks for the info! I wondered if maybe I had to have the security system to get the little "beep" sound lol...and about the snowflake...that makes sense. Like I said, the temp hasn't been much above 30 since I got her I'm ready for some summer motoring!! Thanks again!

and as long as the temps stay below 37 it will not come on again until the temps have gone above 37. also it will not go on as the temp rises either

The car assumes that if the temp was below 37 when it was started then you were just outside of it and know how cold it was. The Snow flak works when it was warm out and you start driving and it gets colder. A little heads up for possible road ice.

You know it must be winter when i said above 37 is warm!
