Cooper S Supercharger on Mini One???

I've tried to search but couln't find an info.
We have an 2005 A/T Mini One.

I've seen some used Cooper S Superchargers, Intercoolers on eBay. Is it possible to do an Cooper S engine conversion. What are the differences between the 2???

My main concern is the transmission. I know that some Cooper S have the Auto tranny but not sure if it is the same.

Anyways, can I just get like the SC, Intercooler, Injectors, Fuel Pump, and a Cooper S ECU and do this??

Or is it almost impossible??

I would say almost impossible....or at least economicly impractle. The head is very differant, as are the pistons, etc. The transmission is a time bomb with too much tourqe too if it is the midlands as the regular Cooper. Good luck...but would be cheaper and much more relilable to get a different car.
Just noticed...if it is a CVT....even worse. The S has a standard type auto tranny... It can handle the tourque. The CVT cannot even handle the tourqe of the regular Cooper without failing......

If you want to do this...

go buy a complete long block/transmission combo off of eBay or something. Your engine has 10.5:1 compression (I think) and the S has 8.6:1 (I think). The crank, connecting rods, pistons and exhaust valves are different as well. Also the water pump is on the back of the SC on the S, where yours is on your One.

It's doable but a lot more work than you currently think it is. A full drivetrain swap is easier.
